Dear Sisters and Brothers,

*We received word some links did not work with certain emails, please use corrected links in this email*

Last week, another Right to Work is Wrong bill was introduced in the Ohio House of Representatives. This anti-worker bill, HB 583, was introduced by John Becker and co-sponsored by fellow Republican legislators: Representatives Niraj Antani, Ron Hood, Andy Thompson, A. Nino Vitale, Tom Brinkman, Kristina Roegner, Bill Dean, Jim Buchy, and Paul Zeltwanger

Just a few months ago, Republican presumptive Presidential nominee Donald Trump said “My position on Right To Work is 100%” and also said “I fight the unions very hard.”

Meanwhile GOP Senatorial Candidate Rob Portman co-sponsored National Right To Work Is Wrong when he was a U.S. Representative. Simply put, these candidates are not looking out for us, despite what their slick commercials and slogans may say.

Because of these continued GOP attacks on workers on every political level, we are urging members to join with other working people to walk and talk to neighbors this weekend. The Republican Convention is less than a week away, and while the GOP will want to say they are for working people, we need you to join us going door-to-door to tell the truth about what Donald Trump, Senator Portman and the GOP agenda will do to working families.

Donald Trump has made it clear! His assertion that auto manufacturers should shut down shop in states like Michigan and Ohio, where members are in a union and earn a middle-class wage, and move them to low-wage, Right To Work is Wrong Southern states, shows his true agenda is corporate profit, not rebuilding America’s middle class.

Senator Rob Portman is blaming Ted Strickland for Ohio’s job loss even though Sen. Portman has voted for 14 different unfair trade deals plus the Fast Tracking of the Trans Pacific Partnership all the while self-proclaiming himself the quarterback on CAFTA.

Now, with HB583 Ohio Republicans continue their assault on working families with yet another attempt to strip workers of their basic workplace rights, only a week before their National Convention in Cleveland.

It is time we say enough is enough with the GOP agenda of attacking working people while lining the pockets of corporations and big-money CEOs with more and more tax breaks and overseas tax shelters.

Click here to help spread the word of who Donald Trump, Rob Portman and the GOP is really looking out for and RSVP to a walk near you!

In Solidarity,
Tim
